Three hundred years ago, Screecher Jones sailed these waters as a privateer — a pirate with a letter of marque and absolutely no patience for rules. He met his end somewhere off the Jersey Shore, and he's been haunting it ever since. Part ghost, part seagull, entirely unreliable — but always right about the history.
